
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Iowa—A Salina man died in a violent crash just after 6a.m. Wednesday in Pottawatomie County, Iowa.
Iowa State Patrol reported a semi driven by 64-year-old Charles Grandpre of Salina was northbound on Interstate 29 near the Honey Creek exit. The semi traveled through cable barriers and crashed into the median support column for the Rosewood Road bridge. The crash tore the semi in half.
Grandpre and and a passenger in the semi Angela Blackwood, 49, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma were pronounced dead at the scene. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the patrol
