KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri, continue to search for a suspect.
Just after 11:30p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a shooting in 1800 block of E Front Street, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchins.
First responders were directed to the parking garage near the Bally's Casino where they located an adult male shooting victim unresponsive near a vehicle in the lot there.
Officers rendered aid and summoned EMS to the scene. EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital with life threatening injuries. At the hospital the victim was declared deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was with a group of people in the parking lot/garage when they had contact with another group of people. That contact escalated into an altercation which resulted in gunfire that struck the victim. The suspect or suspects then left the scene in an unknown direction away from the parking lot.
Indication is this is an isolated incident located in the parking lot and there was no disruption to operations at the casino business there.
