MONTGOMERY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 2a.m. Thursday in Montgomery County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Toyota Avalon driven by Zachary L Evans, 24, New Blaine, Arkansas, was eastbound on Woodland Avenue approaching N Buckeye Street in the city of Coffeyville.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The car entered the north ditch, rolled and came to rest on its top.
Evans was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Medical. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
