Kan. officers used cell phone info to catch double murder suspect

SALINE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a double homicide in Colorado have a suspect in custody in Kansas.

Just before 1:30p.m. Tuesday, deputies located the bodies of a man and woman in the Franktown area of Douglas County, Colorado, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. They asked the public for help to locate 29-year-old Casey Devol.

On Wednesday,  the dispatch center in Salina received a "Be on the Look Out"  (BOLO) from Douglas County, Colorado regarding homicide suspect Devol, according to a social media report from Salina Police.

He was reportedly armed with multiple guns.

Cell phone information indicated that the suspect was in Salina near I-70. Officers responded to the area to search for him.

At 7:40 PM, a Salina officer located Devol near his vehicle parked behind the Super 8 Motel, 120 E. Diamond Drive. Officers and KHP troopers took Devol into custody without incident.  Case Agents from Colorado responded to Salina and conducted interviews.

He is waiting for extradition.
