LAWRENCE —The University of Kansas reported breaking news Monday morning.&nbsp; According to the university's social media account, "KU archaeologists have discovered new evidence that Jayhawks were, in fact, a real species of bird, driven to extinction at the beginning of the Holocene Epoch.

 “The fossil record speaks for itself,” says Dr. Camp A. Nile, the archaeologist behind this discovery.&nbsp; It is April 1, 2024.
