MARSHALL COUNTY —A tornado rolled through the northeast Kansas community of Marysville Saturday evening, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's department.
The storm caused considerable damage to homes and downed power lines across the region.
The high wind from the storm also caused damage in other northeast Kansas communities including Manhattan. The River Pond Campground area at Tuttle Creek State Park will be closed until at least Monday due to extensive damage, according to the Riley County Police Department. There are no reports of injuries.
There were no early report of injuries in Marysville, according to Marysville Police Chief Matt Simpson
