SEDGWICK COUNTY —Wichita Police Department investigating a deadly shooting incident on Sunday have identified the victim as 21-year-old Hannah Tanui, according to Police Department spokesman Andrew Ford.

Just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers from the Patrol East Bureau were flagged down by an individual reporting that a man they knew, later identified as 26-year-old Jan Tanui  had broken into their residence in the 800 block of South Edgemoor, armed with a handgun, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.

He was reportedly inside the home with his ex-domestic partner and had made suicidal statements.
