SEWARD COUNTY —The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that occurred just after 8p.m. Sunday in Seward County.
The patrol reported a train struck a pedestrian pushing someone in a wheelchair at Western Avenue near U54 and Seward County Road 3. The pedestrians attempted to cross the railroad crossing while the crossing arms were down and the warning signals active.
The KHP released no additional details including the names of the victims early Monday. Check the Post for additional details as they become available.
