MANHATTAN —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of shootings that occurred in Manhattan in June and July and have made an arrest.

Junction City Police arrested 17-year-old  Brayln Marsh, 17, of Junction City on August 11, according to a statement from the Riley County Police Department.

According to the RCPD, Marsh allegedly shot multiple rounds from outside into the same occupied house, once on June 20, 2022, around 5:45 a.m., and again on July 11, 2022, around 1:15 a.m. Multiple individuals were in the home at the time of the shootings but no injuries were reported in either incident.

Marsh is currently being held on a $750,000 bond at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center Facility on requested charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated assault, criminal discharge of a weapon, and one count of criminal threat.

According to the RCPD, there was a delay in the arrest being reported due to technical errors between the two agencies.
