ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations after a disturbance in Atchison.

Just after 12:30p.m. on Monday police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1900 block Harper Drive in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.

 During the disturbance a 65-year-old female and a 62-year-old male were threatened with a knife. Police took&nbsp;Gaylon E. Gillis, 57, Atchison, into custody at the scene on requested charges of aggravated assault and domestic battery.&nbsp;

Gillis has previous convictions for burglary, theft and aggravated burglary.
