MANHATTAN —Kansas State University employees now have until January 4, 2022 to comply with the federal government’s vaccine requirement, according to a statement from the university.

The University is extending its deadline for employees to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 following updated recommendations put forth by the Biden administration November 4.

Previously, KSU employees had until December 8 to comply. With the new deadline, K-State administrators say employees who don’t provide documentation on time will see their employment end on January 9, 2022.

The vaccine requirement applies to all employees and entities of the university, including K-State Athletics and the Student Union. The KSU Foundation and Alumni Association are controlled separately and do not fall under the mandate’s requirements.
