SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for alleged child sex crimes.
Just after noon Friday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit executed a felony arrest warrant in the 2200 block of SE 21st Terrace in Topeka, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
Deputies took 21-year-old Pete V. Hernandez Jr. of Topeka into custody for a felony warrant out of Shawnee County for requested charges of Rape, Aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated indecent liberties with a child under 14 years of age. Hernandez is being held in Shawnee County Department of Corrections.
