Kansas man with life-threatening injuries from mobile home fire

SHAWNEE COUNTY —A Kansas man  was critically injured in Kansas mobile home fire.

 Just after 4a.m. Friday, crews responded to a house fire at 1328 NE Quincy Street in Topeka, according to public education officer Alan Stahl.

 Upon arrival, fire crews found a mobile home fully involved in fire. During a search, firefighters located and rescued a man from inside the home.  American Medical Response Crews transported him to hospital with life threatening injuries, according to Stahl.

The fire was quickly brought under control and no other homes were damaged.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, pending further investigation. The Estimated dollar loss – $2100.00 loss to the structure (a total loss), and $1500.00 estimated content loss.

Due to the extent of the damage, fire crews were unable to determine if working smoke detectors were present within the home, according to Stahl.
