
NEWTON COUNTY, Georgia—Law enforcement authorities Georgia investigating a murder and have arrested a Kansas woman.
Last week, deputies in Newton County arrested 35-year-old Danetta Knoblauch of Wichita in connection to the February 23rd missing person case of Melvin Cooksey, according to Sheriff Ezell Brown.
Knoblauch is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and arson.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Louisiana State Police Department, Baton Rouge Police Department, and Louisiana Bureau of Investigation assisted with the investigation.
