SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal shooting in Topeka have identified the victim as s Xavion E. Phannix, 20, of Topeka, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks.
Just after 12:14 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a call for service in the 2600 Block of SE Gilmore CT in Topeka on a call for service regarding a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
First responders located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All three individuals were transported to a local medical care facility, with one injury considered non-life threatening and two considered life-threatening.
While at the hospital, Phannix was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Topeka Police Department Officers and Detectives continue reviewing all investigative leads. Police have not reported any suspect details.
