SHAWNEE COUNTY —The search for a missing 5-year-old ended just before 5p.m. Friday. Authorities found Lakota Rigsby and she is safe, according to Shawnee County Deputy Abigail Christian.
The case involving her grandmother is still under investigation.

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are attempting to locate a 5-year-old girl to place her into protective custody, according Deputy Abigail Christian.
Lakota D. Rigsby is 4 feet tall, 55 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair. She is believed to be with her maternal grandmother, Virontka Kay Rigsby,55, of Tecumseh, Kansas.
Virontka is in violation of an Ex Parte Order that awarded custody to Lakota’s father. She is known to drive a 2000 maroon Ford F250 pickup truck with an expired Kansas license plate 060MWU. Virontka has ties to Kansas, Missouri and Colorado.
