KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a Labor Day weekend homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victims as 29-year-old Kyle M. Bobbs and 27-year-old J'Lah Tuberville.
Just after 3:30a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to 54th and Michigan on a reported shooting, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
As officers arrived they located Bobs and tuberville in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers began rendering aid and KCFD Medics arrived simultaneously. Bobbs was pronounced deceased on scene. The Tuberville was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. A short time later she was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
This is being investigated as a homicide. A subject of interest was taken into custody pending further investigation. Preliminary information revealed there was an interaction in the street between multiple individuals before shots were fired and the victims were struck.
