HAMILTON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a shooting at a southwest Kansas cafe on Valentine's Day.
Just after 7p.m. Saturday, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting at Maria’s Cafe in Coolidge, Kansas, according to a media release.
Shortly after the initial report, an additional call was received regarding a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire within the city of Coolidge. Additional reports of gunshots were later received from across the state line in Colorado. No injuries were reported in Coolidge.
The Prowers County Sheriff’s Office located and took one subject into custody in connection with the incident. Police have not released the name of the suspect of possible charges.
