Kan. woman wanted on warrants captured after pursuit

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas woman on multiple allegations after a police chase in Shawnee County.

Just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Buick Park Avenue with an expired license plate near NE Fairchild Street and North Kansas Avenue in Shawnee County, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

The driver refused to stop and initiated a pursuit. The pursuit ended in the 2700 block of NE Sardou Avenue and the driver was taken into custody.

Stephanie L. Wagner, 31, was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, Operating a vehicle without registration, Speeding, Fail to stop at a stop sign, Violating a traffic control signal and No vehicle liability insurance.  Wagner also has two warrants for her arrest.
