
RILEY COUNTY — Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in Manhattan.
Just before 11a.m. on Wednesday, crews were dispatched to a house fire at 2409 Lookout Drive, according to a media release from the Manhattan FIre Department.
Crews found a single-story home with fire and smoke showing from the attached garage. The fire was contained within 15 minutes.
Family members removed an occupant with a physical disability before the fire companies arrived. No injuries were reported.
The building is a single-family residence. Damage to the residence was significant. The owner is listed as Wanda Jepsen who lives there, according to the fire department.
