Sheriff: 22-year-old Kan. man jailed for alleged sex crime

OSAGE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man for child sex crimes.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office investigators have been conducting an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child by an adult. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) took into custody an adult male who had made plans to meet with someone he believed to be a minor.

Gabriel R. Remboldt, 22, of Topeka, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of aggravated human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of a child, and use of a communication facility to commit a felony.
