NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. —Law enforcement is investigating after a swatting call was reported on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, approximately 90 minutes north of Kansas City, on Wednesday.
According to the University, the school received a swatting call around 11:30 a.m. to its main phone line that threatened gun violence on the main campus. University Police Department officers searched and cleared facilities on campus. The University says no threat was found.
University Police, Maryville Police Department, and the Nodaway County Sheriff's Department are investigating the incident.
