HOLT COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Saturday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Peterbilt 379 was parked on the east shoulder of northbound Interstate 29 in Mound City.
The truck became a downhill runaway and struck a 33-year-old pedestrian from Neligh, Nebraska. The truck continued off the east side of the road and the trailer struck a light pole. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics.
The MSHP released no additional details.
