SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a fatal house fire in Topeka have released the name of the victim as&nbsp; Stephen E. May, 75, of Topeka.

Just before 6:30a.m. August 2, crews&nbsp;responded to a reported house fire at 1812 SW Burnett Road, according to a media release .Upon arrival, crews observed smoke and flames coming from the single-story home. Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack and quickly extinguished the fire.

During a primary search of the residence, firefighters located the body of Stephen May who was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.&nbsp;The cause of the fire remains undetermined

&nbsp;Smoke detectors were not found in the structure.
