Police find hit and run car that critically injured Kan. woman

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a hit-and-run incident that critically injured a 26-year-old woman.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a hit-and-run injury accident at Douglas and Greenwood in Wichita, according to Officer Charley Davidso

 Upon arrival, officers located the victim with critical injuries.  EMS transported her to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators learned the woman was crossing the street, leaving a business in the 100 block of South Greenwood and a newer white northbound sedan struck her.It is believed the sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to Davidson.   

On Sunday, police found the unoccupied vehicle at a hotel at 36th and Rock Road. Police released no additional details Sunday afternoon.
