KANSAS CITY —Police investigating another fatal shooting in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victim as 23-year-old Jaquis Jones, according KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Just after 7:30p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the area of 55th and Wabash on the sound of gunshots.
Officers checked the area and located a vehicle mid block to the south in the east side alley. Inside the vehicle officers located Jones. She was unresponsive. Officers called for EMS who responded to the scene and pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene canvassing for any witnesses. The shooting appears to have happened in the alley of the location, according to Becchina. Police have not reported any suspect details.
