CLARK COUNTY —Crews were busy fighting another grass fire in southwest Kansas on Wednesday.

According to a social media report from the Ashland Fire Department, crews battled  a grass fire on U.S. 160 at the Meade-Clark County line.

Together with Minneola Fire, Englewood Fire, Fowler Fire, Meade Fire, and Ford County Fire, crews were able stop a fast-moving fire.

They also thanked the Clark County Road and Bridge Department for "always helping with their blades."  There were no injuries reported.  There is no confirmation on the number of acres burned.

On February 17, the Ranger Road fire, which started in Oklahoma spread into southwest Kansas counties and burned more than 300,000 acres in both states.
