KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an Easter Sunday homicide in Kansas City and have a suspect in custody.
Around 9:00am officers responded to a shooting in 1300 block of E. 89th Street, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte'.
First responders located a man later identified as 28-year-old Da'Shawn L. Bell suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believed an argument ensued between an adult female and Bell where shots were fired, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez. Police took the female subject into custody for further investigation. Police released no additional details Sunday.
