
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the man who died as 31-year-old Joshua Quarles
Just before 10p.m. Wednesday officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 9300 block of Newton on a shooting call, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartion.
On arrival officers were led inside an apartment building to an apartment unit there and located Quarles unresponsive.
Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over treatment. EMS transported Quarles to the hospital where he was declared deceased a short time later. Responding officers detained one subject of interest at the scene for further investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates Quarles and at least one other subject of interest were inside the apartment when the victim was shot.
