LEAVENWORTH COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just after 9:30a.m. Tuesday in Leavenworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 International Dump Truck driven by Brad Mosbrucker, 45, Topeka, exited a controlled construction site and made a U-turn in the intersection of Stone Creek Drive, against a red light.
An eastbound 2004 Yamaha FZS driven by Guthrie, William Guthrie, 34, Tonganoxie, struck the drivers side of the dump truck. Both vehicles came to rest in the middle of the intersection.
Guthrie was transported to KU Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Mosbrucker was not injured. Guthrie was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
