Woman wanted in Texas arrested in Kansas

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect including a woman wanted on a felony warrant in Texas.

Just after 5:30a.m. Sunday, a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota passenger car for a traffic infraction near 302nd Road on U.S. 75 Highway, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The deputy discovered illegal contraband during a search of the vehicle. The passenger was identified as Julie Diane Klen, 38, of Brownfield, Texas.

Klen was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and for an outstanding felony warrant out of Abilene, Texas, according to Morse.

Deputies arrested the driver identified as Tracey Glenn Myers, 39, of Brownfield, Texas. arrested and booked on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance and no vehicle registration.
