Kansas suspects accused of forgery, drug possession

 JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on multiple allegations,

Just after 10:30a.m.  June 2, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Buick Century passenger car on J. Road near 150th Road in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The driver, Scott Phillip Carter, 67, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and no insurance. Also, a previous passenger of the vehicle was later arrested. Sarah Louise Leonard, 40, of Topeka, was booked into the Jackson County Jail on a requested charge of forgery, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
