KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating a fatal shooting and have identified a person of interest.
just after 8:30p.m. Thursday, police to the 4200 block of Agnes Avenue on a reported disturbance, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez. While officers were in route to the address, call notes were updated and indicated someone may have been shot.
First responders located a man on the front porch of a residence, unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot trauma. Officers immediately began to render medical aid until EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital. The man was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital, according to Gonzalez.
On Friday, police reported they took a person of interest into custody for further investigation. Police released no additional details.
