BOURBON COUNTY —A Kansas woman died in an accident just after 9a.m. Thursday in Bourbon County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Kellie J. Harvey, 57, Mapleton, was northbound on 125th Street one half mile north of Ridge Road approximately five miles north of U.S. 54. The SUV traveled off the road to the right, returned to the road, traveled back off the road again and the driver overcorrected. The SUV returned to the road and rolled into the south ditch.
Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Cheney Witt Funeral Chapel. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
