
SHAWNEE COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.
On March 12, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, as part of the Shawnee County Drug Enforcement Task Force, conducted two narcotics related search warrants at residences in the 3600 block of SE 30th Street and the 2300 block of SW Eveningside Drive as well as a search warrant in the 2800 block of SW 29th Street. During the investigation, illegal narcotics and firearms were located.
Quentin K. Lawton, 45, of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges Distribute substance within 1000 feet of a school, Criminal possession of a weapon, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent, Unlawful to acquire proceeds from drug transaction
Quentin K. Lawton Jr., 22, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the SNDOC on requested charges including Criminal use of weapons, Possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant and Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Lawton Jr. also had two warrants for his arrest.
