JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a school threat that prompted several Kansas City-area schools to close have a suspect in custody, according to the FBI and a media release from Blue Springs Police.
Just after 10:30a.m. Tuesday, police in Blue Springs took a report of a suspicious Snap Chat post. In the post, the individual used the social media and threatened 'killing people, mass murdering." The post did not identify a location for the threatened crime.
The Jackson County prosecutor's office is expected to announce charges in the case. The FBI and school district said there is no threat to the public.
