KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating a triple-homicide at a Kansas City home have identified the victims and made an arrest.
According to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina the victims are 73-year-old Sherri Duncan; 49-year-old Jodie Hopcus and 24-year-old Hailey Hopcus.
Just before 1a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 4100 block of NW 65th Street, according to Becchina.
First responders were directed to a residence there. Inside that home officers located the three shooting victims unresponsive.
Officers summoned EMS who declared all three deceased at the scene.
Detectives and crime scene personnel processed the scene for evidence, canvassed for witnesses and identified a person of interest. Late Sunday police reported the person of interest in custody. Detectives will be working with prosecutors to present investigative findings for determination of applicable charges.
