BUTLER COUNTY —A toddler died from injuries in an accident Friday in rural Butler County. Friends established a GoFundMe to assist the family.
Just after 4p.m., emergency crews responded to the report of an unresponsive child in the 500 block of S. Main in Leon, Kansas, according to Butler County Undersheriff Daimon Cundiff.
The 21-month-old boy had been run over by a vehicle in the driveway of the home by a family member. Butler County EMS transported the child to Wesley Medical Center, in extremely critical condition, where he later died.
The incident is being investigated as accidental. The accident is not believed to be alcohol or drug related, according to Cundiff.
