SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating the circumstances at a home used for possible drug sales in Wichita and have made an arrest.
Just before 3p.m. Friday, police responded to the 100 block of East Shadyside Avenue in Wichita to assist EMS with a report of an unresponsive 2-year-old child, according to Wichita Police spokesman Andrew Ford.
The child was transported in critical condition by EMS to a local hospital.
While inside the residence, officers observed evidence consistent with distribution of dangerous drugs. Due to the dangerous nature of the substance the department’s Bomb Squad responded to the scene and conducted its investigation.
Two other children who were inside the residence were placed into police protective custody.
Police investigators working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident arrested 26-year-old Brandy Glover, according to Sedgwick County booking records. She is being held on a $300,000 bond on requested charges of aggravated endangering a child and drug distribution, according to online jail records.
