WYANDOTTE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 2:30a.m. Sunday in Wyandotte County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by Jerry L. Berry, 43, Kansas City, Kansas, was eastbound on Interstate 70 at the 18th Street Expressway in the right lane.
The pickup struck a pedestrian identified as Andrew W. Martsolf, 18, Kansas City, Kansas, who walked into the lane of traffic.
Martsolf was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. Berry was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
