ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on multiple allegations after a traffic stop.
Just after 9p.m. July 1, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Melody C. McCannon, 44, Atchison, for an alleged traffic violation in the 600 Block of North 9th Street in Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Investigators found her to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She remains jails on requested charges of no license tag, no driver’s license, no insurance, and possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, according to Wilson.
