The former Kansas Department of Health and Environment secretary expressed his opinion on the actions of the Kansas Senate from the past couple of days on Tuesday.

He didn't use his name, but Dr. Lee Norman appeared to call out Hutchinson's Sen. Dr. Mark Steffen.

Hutch Post reached out to Norman for an interview so he could further clarify his comments.

He declined, only saying on the record, "I cannot figure out why his GOP colleagues are not reeling him in. It's almost like they're afraid of him."

Norman was removed as Secretary by Gov. Laura Kelly's administration for commenting on issues beyond what was authorized by her office.
