JOHNSON COUNTY—A man who worked for over two dozen years in a Kansas school district is in jail on child sex crime allegations.
On June 26, police arrested 43-year-old Jason Barrett on requested charges of aggravated indecent liberties and furnishing alcohol to a minor for illicit purposes. The victim was under the age of 16 but over than 14, according to court records.
He worked as a paraprofessional in USD 233 Olathe starting in 2009, according to online records. He remains jailed on a $250,000 bond and is due back in court July 10, according to online jail records.
