CHASE COUNTY —Law enforcement across Kansas continue to ticket drivers traveling far above the posted speed limit.
On March 24, a Deputy pulled over a vehicle traveling 113mph in a 65mph zone on US Hwy 50, according to a social media report from the Chase County Sheriff.
By following speed limits, we can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and create safer roads for everyone. This is a crucial step towards building a culture of road safety and responsibility. #SlowDown#accidentshappeninseconds

On Friday, officers worked a traffic complaint in the area of W. 135th and Lamar in Overland Park. An officer issued a driver a citation for speeding, 104 in a 45mph zone, according to the social media report.

Earlier this week, a Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy clocked a Dodge Challenger going 122mph in a 60mph zone near Kellogg and Meridian in Wichita, according to a social media report.
That’s more than double the posted speed limit.
"Let’s be clear: This is not just speeding, this is reckless and it puts lives at risk. At those speeds, there is no room for error—for the driver, for other motorists."
