SHAWNEE COUNTY – Robert Hood, 88, of Wichita, was located by the Kansas Highway Patrol after a traffic accident along I-70 near 3rd Street in Topeka, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
He was taken to a Topeka hospital. Authorities did not have an update on his condition late Wednesday.

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Wichita Police and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation have asked for help locating 88-year-old Robert Hood.
He was last seen leaving his home in the 3600 block of East Oneida in Wichita at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday driving a grey 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer with a handicap tag.
He is described as 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, grey hair, and last seen wearing blue jeans, a black leather coat, and a long-sleeve green and white shirt. Additionally, Richard has been diagnosed with dementia.
