
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a homicide in Oklahoma have a suspect in custody in Kansas, according to The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
On Satuday, the Kay County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance processing a crime scene on Tosque Drive in Tonkawa. Charles Star Warrior, 40, was missing from the residence and based on the scene it appeared a homicide had occurred.
On Sunday, authorities found a body in the Chikaskia River east of Tonkawa. The victim was identified as Warrior. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for 42-year-old Dustin Lee Begshisown.
Just before 5a.m. Monday, police in Wichita arrested Begshisown on requested charges of Murder in the Second Degree. He was in custody in Wichita awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.
