Police: Kan. registered offender accused again of selling drugs

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating four suspects on drug charges. 

On Oct. 18, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 3700 Block SW 10th Avenue related to an ongoing investigation, according to Lt. Ronnie Connell.

While conducting the search warrant, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia.

As a result police arrested 27-year-old Amanda Sibert, 31-year-old Casey Thomas, 34-year-old Matthew Smith and 40-year-old and Karwin Johnson all of Topeka. They were transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.

Amanda Sibert is being held on requested charges of Distribution of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent of distribution, Aggravated Endangering a Child,  Criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, Violate offender registration, Possession of marijuana and Unlawful to acquire proceeds from Drug transaction. She was convicted of selling heroin, according to the Kansas Offender Registry.

Casey Thomas is jailed on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Aggravated Endangering a Child.

Matthew Smith is in custody on a requested charges of Aggravated Endangering a Child
