KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just after 8p.m. Monday in Kansas City, Missouri.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson Motorcycle was eastbound on Gardner at a high rate of speed, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina. A Peterbilt truck, tractor, and trailer was making a left turn from northbound Bellefontaine onto westbound Gardner.
The truck was midway through its turn when the motorcycle struck the trailer. Both the motorcycle and the operator traveled underneath the trailer and the motorcyclist was then run over by the trailers rear tires.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. This is fatality #31 compared to #47 at this time last year in Kansas City, Missouri. Police have not released the name of the victim.
