
KANSAS CITY —Three people were rescued from apartment building fire in Kansas City on Wednesday.
Just before 6a.m. Wednesday, crews responded to a reported building fire in the 4100 block of Pennsylvania in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders reported heavy fire from the second floor of a three-story multi-use building. The building contained commercial space on the first floor and apartments on the second and third.
Crews initiated interior operations and conducted three successful rescue operations. Additional searches of the structure came back all clear. All three patients were transported in stable condition to be evaluated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD.
