RILEY COUNTY —Investigators are working to determine the cause of a house fire in Manhattan.
Just before noon Friday, crews were dispatched to a house fire at 4517 Lamonte Drive in Manhattan, according to a media release.
First arriving crews found a two-story house with heavy fire showing from the rear. The fire was contained within 30 minutes. The house is a two-story split-level home with a basement. Loss is estimated at $125,000 to contents and $300,000 to the structure. There were no injuries reported.
The owners are listed as Nathan and Shanna Legleiter of the same address. The fire's cause is under investigation at this time.
Riley County Fire District #1 provided a mobile air unit to fill air bottles at the scene.
